Unless you or a family member or friend have experienced a critical medical emergency, it’s possible you may have never heard of Boston MedFlight. But when we tell you about this amazing organization, you will understand why we are so emphatic about building awareness for the important service they provide to our community. Boston MedFlight is a non-profit organization that transports gravely ill or injured patients to lifesaving tertiary care. Their dedicated staff includes caregivers such as nurses, paramedics, and EMTs, as well as highly skilled pilots, mechanics and technicians. As you can imagine, the training budget required to ensure the safety of both the patients and the Boston MedFlight team members is one of the highest in the country. This organization relies entirely on donations to be able to continue to provide critical care expertise and rapid transport to the right facility…immediately. Without Boston MedFlight, gravely ill patients wouldn’t get the lifesaving care they so desperately need in Boston.
